By purchasing artwork or booking a workshop or retreat, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies.

📦 Artwork

All artwork sales are final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds. That said, we stand by our work. If your artwork arrives damaged, we’ll gladly send a replacement. Please email photos of the damaged item to hello@alanstenbackphotography.us within 10 days of delivery.

📸 Workshops & Retreats

A deposit secures your spot and allows us to plan, prepare, and hold a limited space for you. Because of the small group nature of our workshops and retreats, deposits are non-refundable.

Full payment is due 30 days prior to the workshop or retreat unless otherwise specified.

We’re happy to offer flexible payment options—split payments, bulk payment, or a custom schedule to help you plan.

If you cancel:

We understand that plans can change.

• If we’re able to fill your spot, any payments made beyond the deposit may be:

  • refunded, or

  • transferred as credit toward a future workshop or retreat

• If your spot is not filled, payments are non-refundable.

• Deposits remain non-refundable, as they secure your place and help us plan for a small, intentional group experience.

• No-shows or same-day cancellations:

  No refunds or credits will be issued.

🔁 Rescheduling

If a workshop or retreat must be rescheduled due to weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances, your deposit and any payments made will automatically transfer to the new date.

If the new dates don’t work for you, you may apply your payments as credit toward a future workshop or retreat.

Because planning and logistics are committed in advance, deposits remain non-refundable.

We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred, including travel or accommodations.

🌩️ Weather

Photography is deeply connected to the natural world—and conditions are always part of the experience.

Workshops and retreats run rain or shine, and we adapt locations, timing, and shooting plans to make the most of the conditions available.

While weather can’t be guaranteed, neither can the exact outcome of any shoot—and that’s part of what makes it meaningful.

For this reason, refunds or credits are not issued due to weather or environmental conditions.

📍 Travel & Transportation

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel, including:

• Airfare or transportation to the workshop location

• Airport transfers and local transportation (unless explicitly included)

We’re happy to provide recommendations, but all travel logistics are your responsibility.

🛡️ Travel Insurance

Travel insurance with trip cancellation and interruption coverage is strongly recommended.

We are not responsible for missed workshops, delays, or cancellations due to travel issues, illness, or unforeseen events.

⚠️ Risk & Liability

By participating, you acknowledge that photography workshops and retreats may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Hiking at elevation

• Uneven or rugged terrain

• Cliffs, water hazards, and coastal conditions

• Low-light and nighttime environments

• Exposure to wildlife and changing weather

• Remote locations with limited access to emergency services

You voluntarily assume all risks and agree to release and hold harmless:

• Roam With Us

• Any assistants, contractors, or affiliated partners

from any liability for injury, illness, loss, damage, or expenses incurred.

You confirm that you are physically capable of participating and have disclosed any relevant medical conditions.

📷 Media Release

By participating in a workshop or retreat, you grant permission for Alan Stenback, Gina Stenback, Alan Stenback Photography, Stenback Digital Media Ltd, and Roam With Us to use photos or video that include you for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes.

This includes use across websites, social media, print, and advertising.

You also grant permission for the use of any images you voluntarily share with us after the event.

You waive any right to compensation, ownership claims, or approval of final use.
